Shift Changing
Changing Shift is performed to log the time and the transactions so that any transaction that happens after action will be excluded from the current closing report.
For example, the cashier is about to do closing but has yet to complete his/her counting of total earnings & float while the other cashier is required to serve the customer. So, once the change shift is done, the transactions done after change shift will not be included in the previous shift.
Once the cashier has finished counting, the cashier will input the amount and click Accept (as usual).
After that, the logged time from previous shift will be the start time for the current shift.
1. To Change shift, click the “Change Shift” button.
2. There will be a pop-up to confirm the change shift.
2a. If there was a previous change shift, the system will disallow and prompt the message
“Please Reset Shift before you can set another change shift time.”
